The Winner

Okay, the winner of my little poll is - Science Fiction! I had hoped for more people to participate, but I'm pretty satisfied with the outcome. That's the funny thing about polls... as soon as other people decide for you, it becomes pretty obvious what option you are secretly rooting for yourself. And it this case it's one and the same. Now I'm really excited about starting!

Thanks to everyone who sent in his or her vote!

Christmas Viking

This is a commission I did for a dear friend - a Christmas present for her husband who plays this character in a roleplaying game.
And the best thing is: since my friend is a yoga teacher, I got my next yoga course for free in exchange!

The drawing process was actually quite fun. It's been a while since I used real watercolor instead of digital colors and I really like the result so much that I am seriously considering hand coloring my next comic. Or maybe just the covers. We'll see.

New Year - New Attitude

A Happy New Year to y'all!
After a longer hiatus from drawing because of health issues (spiritual, mental and physical - don't they always come together?) I'm back to drawing and scripting. Yay!

And I have had much time to think about the direction I want to go. In a nutshell, I want to do more comics and less commercial stuff. And I want less of the funny stuff. Actually, it's time for a complete reinvention, and if not now, when?

Hell, I've turned freaking forty last year, which means I still have a few years before I grow old and geriatric, and my last longer and unfortunately traumatizing comic project was years ago.

Yes, time flies when you're busy, unfortunately. And I'm not exactly known for making consistent decisions and see them through. I'm also not eager to work with other writers, which probably makes me the comic artist less inclined to really get working. LOL

So that's where you come in. So while I'm aware of the fact that I have to make my own decision in the end, I'd love to know if you guys would prefer me to dedicate myself to an SF or fantasy project - or both, serialized as a SF fantasy double feature (which would probably be my own choice to avoid deciding altogether!).

I've started a poll above, so make sure to check your preference and help me decide.
By the way, I have story ideas and/or scripts for both projects.

Fuck, it's hard being myself.
